THE deadline to submit an item for the Fountain Field sculpture is just around the corner.

Residents have until Sunday, August 5, to submit any poems, photographs or drawings for decorative glass segments of the showpiece project.

The sculpture is called ‘The Windows of Middlewich’ and will be created from old seasoned canal locks which will form the seven wooden monoliths at the heart of the sculpture.

Anyone wanting to submit an item to be encased in glass can email mail@thesilverzebra.co.uk.

Also as part of the sculpture, there will be another pebble painting session on Friday, August 10, from 10.30am to 1pm in the Tesco superstore.

The pebbles will form the stream in between the monoliths and the textured glass designed by renowned artist Deborah Moses will depict the history of Middlewich from the eyes of the community.

People can also submit their own pebbles to either the Mexon Market, Middlewich Town Council or the Tesco superstore. If you are submitting your own pebbles remember to only paint on one side.
