Zero tolerance

IN reply to the gentleman who castigated me for complaining about the illegal parking situation in Northwich (September 10) may I just say I use Weaver Way virtually every other day and the illegal parking does cause problems at times. Only last week, traffic was halted because a delivery vehicle at McDonald’s could not reverse out because a vehicle was illegally parked.

NOT always in the best of health I found myself having to go to bed early on September 9. Trying to relax in bed I could hear through the open window the sound of church bells being rung, I assume they were practising.

IN a recent edition of the Guardian it was shown that an additional site for travellers and gipsies had been added to the list for consideration – ie off Saxons Lane, Greenbank.

While enjoying a late holiday in North Wales recently, I was horrified to read an article in a national newspaper that described how a number of local councils are recruiting members of the public to spy on their neighbours and report them for perceived environmental crimes.
