CHESHIRE Stars T used a derby success last week as a spur to record another victory when the Everybody Netball League campaign resumed last week.
The Middlewich-based team demonstrated their fighting spirit too, scoring nine goals in the final quarter of a head-to-head with Sharks to record a 26-24 win.
Captain Kebriah Pardoe was picked afterwards as their best player.
Stars S are still searching for a first Premier Division success of a new season but took some consolation from collecting a bonus-point following a 37-22 defeat against Ladyhawks A the same evening.
Sharon Kennerley’s defending earned for her the player of the match pick.
In-form Stars A took over top spot in the Championship Division after beating previous occupants Indigo – their fifth successive win this term.
Jenny Lea’s impressive interceptions made her stand out in an emphatic 42-21 victory.
Stars R remain unbeaten in Division One, extending their own winning sequence to four matches following a 46-22 success against depleted Wildcats.
Their opponents battled hard despite being a player short, while skipper Diane Gentle was chosen as Stars’ best player.
They lead the way on points-difference from Ladyhawks L.
