CHESHIRE Stars T had reason to celebrate after recording a first victory of the new season in the South Cheshire Premier League's top-flight last week.
Theirs was a hard-fought 38-34 success against Sharks, and Kebriah Pardoe was picked afterwards as the Middlewich-based team's best performer.
Stars R had to withstand pressure from Blaze during the final quarter of their Division One encounter as they battled to protect a lead.
They did exactly that, prevailing 33-27 with Liberty Hughes taking the player of the match award on a night that vice-captain Ruth Males celebrated her birthday.
Stars S and Stars A return to action this week.
