A FIRE broke out at a popular Middlewich pub on March 29.
Firefighters from Winsford and Northwich tackled the blaze on the eaves of the roof at the Kinderton Arms at around 4pm using a hose reel.
The Booth Lane pub was empty at the time as it is closed for a renovation project.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire Service said: “The road was reduced to one lane as a temporary measure and the police were in attendance.
“Crews completed a full inspection of the interior of the building and discovered the fire had not spread to the interior.
“The electrics were isolated and the crew handed over the security of the building to the police in attendance.”
