SWIMMERS are being urged to help raise money for charity.
The Rotary Club of Northwich is organising its 10th annual swimathon for teams of six to have fun and fundraise for a variety of good causes.
This year’s charities include St Luke’s Hospice, Vale Royal District Talking Newspaper, The Joshua Tree and Rotary charities.
The event, which will take place at Moss Farm swimming pool from 5pm on March 6 and 7, is for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
It involves a team swimming for 55 minutes with only one member of the team being in the water at a time.
For more information or an entry form, ring Bob Floyd, the swimathon coordinator, on 01606 75314 or email bobfloyd@dsl.pipex.com.
In last year’s event, 42 teams swam more than 70 miles and raised nearly £10,000 for charities.
