FUNDRAISERS from King’s Grove School in Crewe presented cheques totalling £2,630 to local groups last week.
Representatives from HomeStart and Leighton Hospital's Special Baby Care Unit were presented with cheques during a school assembly to celebrate the pupils' achievements.
The school organised a charity fun run, where pupils ran a total of 1,897km.
This was supported by a summer fair, with stalls for runners and visitors at the event.
Carol Jones, assistant head teacher, said: “This event is a great example of how our pupils contribute to the school and the wider community.
"Nearly every pupil in the school took part, whether running distances or running stalls.
"So not only did they all benefit, but so did two local charities from these outstanding donations.”
