FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to reports of fire involving an outbuilding in Middlewich.
At around 10.30pm, two fire engines were called to an address in Alexandra Road.
On arrival, crews from Middlewich and Sandbach discovered several fence panels well alight adjacent to lock-up garages.
The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
They were on the scene for 45 minutes and used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. After this, a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots, opening all adjacent garages to make sure that the fire had not spread.
