A SPECIALIST same-day and next-day courier has announced key changes to its senior management team as it bids to support further growth.

Topspeed Couriers Ltd has enjoyed sustained success over the past four years, providing event, process and time-critical courier services across the UK.

Working in highly-regulated areas including dangerous and secure goods, the company now plans to capitalise of its market presence with new appointments.

Founding managing director and joint owner Stephen Clegg has been appointed as group chief executive, while current business development director David Turner becomes managing director with a day-to-day focus.

Business manager Gillian Lockley joins the board as finance director, Richard Bamford remains as chairman and non-executive director, while Sarah Ginham-Clegg continues as assurance director.

New to Topspeed is Colin Brooks, who assumes the role of operations director.

Mr Bamford said: “I am confident these management changes will further enhance the Topspeed offer and service to both current and new customers.”

CEO Mr Clegg said: “we have almost trebled in turnover, number of staff and vehicles in the last four years and now we are uniquely positioned to exploit further opportunities and fulfil our growth ambitions.”

Mr Turner, managing director, said: “I am delighted to take up this new challenge at such a pivotal stage and lead the implementation of our five-year strategic plan.”
