A FORMER Prime Minister enjoyed a coffee in Middlewich during the election campaign.

David Cameron stopped at Hopley House, Wimboldsley during his visit to mid Cheshire on Thursday, May 11.

The former leader of the Conservative Party was out canvassing with parliamentary candidate Edward Timpson in  Nantwich, and attended the coffee house after the day’s end.

Edward Timpson said: “It was fantastic to have David’s help campaigning in Nantwich today.

“He wants to see strength and stability in government as a united UK takes its next step on the world stage, and that’s why he was out delivering not only my message, but Theresa May’s message of a strong national economy.”

David Cameron was Prime Minister of the UK from 2010 to 2016, but stepped down following the referendum decision to leave the European Union.
