THE Midpoint 18 distribution park in Middlewich has been relaunched with the owners of the site, Pochin’s, bringing in new partners to help.

Midpoint 18, one of the north west’s largest business and distribution parks, has been rebranded as ‘MA6NITUDE’ in a new partnership between Pochin’s and international property developer db symmetry.

Speaking at a launch in Manchester, the new partnership outlined its plans for the joint venture, including plans for a new 160,000 sq ft speculative build set for completion in autumn 2017.

Jim Nicholson, Pochin’s CEO, said: “MA6NITUDE has long been our flagship development site and the quality of its existing tenants highlights the role it plays in the Northern Powerhouse and UK logistics network.

“The additional knowledge and resources of db symmetry will only grow the site’s popularity at a crucial time when the north west is accelerating infrastructure development.

“With its exceptional links to national transport infrastructure, MA6NITUDE has and will continue to play an integral part in Cheshire’s exciting future.

“Cheshire already boasts the strongest economy in the Northern Powerhouse and its ambitious development partnerships such as this that will further attract top class businesses to the region.”

The new joint venture will link Pochin’s and db symmetry with a view to adding new business to Midpoint 18, now MA6NITUDE, which includes Wincanton, B&M Bargains, Optima Power, Tesco, Scottish Power, and Kuehne and Nagel.

Andrew Dickman, director at db symmetry, said: “Cheshire and the wider north west are an integral part of our development strategy and MA6NITUDE fits perfectly within our portfolio of sites with national appeal.

“Our previous collaborations with Pochin’s have proved extremely successful so we are pleased to be able to further our relationship with a strategic partnership that will enable us grow this site together.”
