THE public consultation on transport in Middlewich closes tomorrow, Friday 16.
Since opening on August 15, the consultation period has seen three public events held while residents have also been able to submit feedback online and by post.
The aims of the month-long window have been to inform residents of current strategies, identify key issues concerning the day-to-day lives of residents and compile evidence to help form a new strategy.
It was brought about by concerns over the growth of the town and lack of corresponding infrastructure improvement.
Some of the key issues raised include the eastern bypass, railway station, public footpaths, cycle routes and public transport.
There is still time to submit your feedback, by dropping into the library, visiting cheshireeast.gov.uk/middlewichtransport or emailing middlewichtransport@cheshireeast.gov.uk.
The next steps will be to analyse feedback, identify opportunities for improving local transport and report findings to the town and borough councils.
From there, a new transport strategy will be prepared.
