A POPULAR café complex will fully reopen under new ownership on Monday after around three years of partial closure.

Hopley House, in Nantwich Road, Wimboldsley, will be home to a farm shop and café, a bed and breakfast, and a furniture store from August 1 with new owners in place.

David Thornhill, a farmer’s son from near Tarporley, will take the reins of the farm shop, café and B&B, while AVM Furniture Centre will also move over from their current Sandbach site.

David said: “I thought the potential was really big – we are on a big main road and there are not a lot of shops nearby.

“I have run retail places before, so I’m excited but slightly nervous as you may expect.

“We are going to be doing meats, fruit and veg, cheeses, we have a big range of home-cooked cakes and nice home-cooked meals.”

After officially opening on Monday, Hopley House will host an opening event the following weekend.

The complex, which also boasts and outdoor children’s play area, will open from 7am to 10pm.

The farm shop closed around three years ago, although the recently-departed owners continued to run the B&B.
