A MIDDLEWICH dance teacher is bringing together a range of different classes for an annual charity event next Saturday night.

Dianne Coleman, who has taught Dancercise, Jazzercise and Zumba for 30 years, will be hosting afternoon workshops followed by a salsa party night on July 23.

All profits raised from the night at Middlewich Civic Hall will go to The Christie, with past events over the years having already raised £35,000.

Three-time world salsa champion Yanet Fuentes Torres, who choreographed the dance to Shakira’s famous ‘Waka-Waka’ song, will be among dancers to hold a workshop in the afternoon.

A professional dancer and choreographer, she performs in shows across the world and is one of the most established salsa superstars.

The Havana-born dancer’s class will be followed by, among others, a Latin steps footwork session with Tamba Salsache Hissirou.

Registration for workshops will open at 12.30pm, with the last classes beginning at 4pm.

The doors to the evening salsa party will open at 7.45pm, with Cuban DJ Javier La Rosa and live band Cafe Con Leche making up the lineup before the bar closes at 1am.
