A HAUNTED Middlewich hotel will host a spooky Halloween sleepover, with ghost-hunters set to investigate the grounds.

Forgotten Era is taking over the Edwardian-themed Sandhurst Hotel, built in Chester Road in 1902, on October 29 for a spooky overnight stay.

For £60 per person including two meals, a bed and refreshments, up to 20 visitors will have the chance to explore the hotel which has been the subject of many chilling stories in the past.

The event description says: “Over the years there have been numerous sightings and tales of the sounds of children playing during the night and servants walking the upper corridors.

“Will you brave the servants quarters and a room that visitors say plays host to a vortex to the other side?

“We will use a range of equipment and experiments to investigate this location and try to unearth the truth behind the stories and see if we can finally put names to the characters that haunt this building.”
