BOOTH Lane will experience five nights of closures in August, with Nantwich Road set to shut for three days.

A series of Cheshire East Council notices have confirmed that Booth Lane resurfacing works will take place from Tuesday, August 16, through to Friday, August 19, between 7.30pm and 5.30am.

The stretch affected falls between Long Lane South in Middlewich and Mill Lane, Sandbach.

Pedestrian access will be maintained with vehicular access for residents and emergency vehicles where possible.

Cross Lane in its entirety will also be affected during the above dates for overnight carriageway resurfacing.

The following week, Nantwich Road will be closed 50m either side of the bridge for patching work and traffic signal replacement.

The closures will becomes operative for five days from Tuesday, August 23, but is only likely to be enforced between 9.30am and 3.30pm until Thursday, August 25.

Pedestrian access to any premises will be maintained at all times, with vehicular access for emergency vehicles and residents where possible. A diversion is in place towards Winsford.

Booth Lane and Nantwich Road will welcome Tour of Britain cyclists as part of the third stage of the race on Tuesday, September 6.

This weekend, Holmes Chapel Road will close overnight for resurfacing works overnight on Friday.

The stretch of the A54 within the east Cheshire boundary, from Centurion Way roundabout to the M6, will be shut from 7.30pm this Friday to 5.30am the following morning.
