A MIDDLEWICH boatshare management company will hold an open day this Saturday at FAB Fest, having recently launched their 2016 boat.

Carefree Cruising will be on hand at their Kingslock Boat Yard premises this Saturday, June 18, with previously launched narrowboats on display.

Along with sister company Elton Moss Boatbuilders, who constructed the new ‘Happy Days’ boat, the company will be on hand for boat repairs including blacking, full and partial repaints and engine services.

Founded in 2002 out of owners Artie and Ruth Chalmers’ love for boating, Carefree Cruising manages shared ownership of narrowboats, built by Elton Moss since 2003.

Both are based at Middlewich Canal Centre at the Kingslock Boat Yard, where visitors can look around previous ventures ‘Daydream’, ‘Lilaea’ and ‘Water Lily’.

‘Happy Days’ was launched at the Kingslock Boat Yard, with a locally sourced buffet provided by the Kings Lock Pub. A syndicate of 10 owners is currently in place, with shares still available.
