SHORT-TERM roadworks by Cheshire East Council are being carried out in Middlewich this week.

The first of the works started in Cledford Lane yesterday, Tuesday, and temporary traffic lights have been introduced.

The work is scheduled to be completed tomorrow, Thursday, April 14.

The borough council will also be moving onto Warmingham Lane to carry out ‘essential work’ tomorrow where temporary traffic lights will again be used.

The work in Warmingham Lane is scheduled to last just one day.

Warmingham Lane is currently a diversion route for roadworks being carried out in Mill Lane, Moston Green.

The work in Mill Lane is scheduled to be finished on Friday, April 15, meaning the temporary traffic lights in Warmingham Lane could be in force while the road is still being used as a diversion.

United Utilities is also carrying out work on Pochin Way tomorrow. Traffic signals will be used throughout the day.
