Garden waste collection 'shutdown' in east Cheshire
GARDEN waste collection in east Cheshire will be suspended for winter from the week beginning Sunday, December 6.
The service will resume the week beginning Sunday, February 14.
As garden bins are collected every two weeks, please check the online calendar on cheshireeast.gov.uk/mycollectionday for your last collection of 2015 and your first collection of 2016.
This year’s winter shutdown of the garden waste collection comes after a public consultation.
A total of 2,527 responses were returned from respondents across east Cheshire and the results confirmed that the end of November/beginning of December were the most preferred options for the suspension to start and that 10 weeks should be the optimum period.
