FIREFIGHTERS from Middlewich, Winsford, Northwich and Holmes Chapel attended a house fire in Middlewich last night.
The fire had taken hold of the semi-detached roof space in Elm Road and hydraulic platforms were used to attack the fire from above.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: “Emergency services were called at 5.21pm to Elm Road to a fire in the roof space of the house. There were no casualties.”
Local photographer Glen Leigh spotted the fire when he was taking pictures.
He said: “I was out photographing the evening sky and the sunset when I noticed smoke rising from the estate across the way so I went and took a couple of shots of the site.
“The flames were coming out of the roof top. I believe the people that lived there all got out safely.”
A full fire investigation has been launched this morning to discover the cause of the blaze.
