POLICE apprehended an armed man who threatened to hurt himself last night.
Police and ambulance attended the scene at Hayhurst Avenue around 5.15pm.
Sam Graham, of Hayhurst Avenue, posted on twitter: “Armed police outside me house, got some bloke on the floor... just seen guns being pointed then a lad holding his hands up.”
The police said there was a concern for the safety of a man with mental health issues who threatened to harm himself.
