A MIDDLEWICH businesswoman took centre stage at an event for the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Emma Dalzel, founder of Bare Bones Marketing, delivered a hands-on workshop about the importance of branding at Manchester Metropolitan University’s (MMU) Cheshire campus.

Emma said: “It was great to see such a mix of businesses and students at the event.

“Branding is so important, whether it is at a business or a personal level.

“I loved the fact that brand values were a hot topic of debate, especially as they create an emotional connection with what you and your company stand for.

“Hopefully, it made people think about their brand and consider how to make themselves standout.”

Claire Fiddeman, marketing officer at Manchester Metropolitan University and also Chartered Institute of Marketing committee member, said: “Emma’s enthusiasm combined with her vast knowledge on branding and marketing created a great workshop.

“I enjoyed being able to participate in the group discussion, and have the chance to look at successful branding case studies.”
