THE managing director of a Northwich firm has been recognised as one of the north west’s most promising business leaders.

Chris McLaughlin, from Wilmslow, has been named in the annual Insider Media magazine’s 42 under 42 list for the region.

The 34-year-old is managing director of MIS Active Management Systems (AMS), which provides solutions to social housing organisations.

Chris was recognised for his achievement at an invitation-only ceremony and dinner at The Lowry Hotel, Salford, on Monday, October 10.

He said: “I feel very honoured to be a part of such a renowned and celebrated list.

“Looking at my fellow peers that have been acknowledged, I really am up there with the big players across the north west this year.”

Chris has been managing director of the firm since 2015, and has increased its turnover by 20 per cent and the customer base by 10 per cent.

To date there are almost 300,000 properties which are managed by the company’s MIS ActiveH product.

The company, which has been running for more than 25 years, currently employs 49 people and is part of the MIS Group.

“I am extremely proud of my career to date and especially my time with MIS AMS,” Chris.

“I believe we are one of the region’s best kept secrets, especially being the number one provider of housing management systems across the UK.”

“I set myself a few goals over the last five years both personally and in business, one business ambition was to become an MD before I turned 35, another to win this award.

“I am thrilled I have achieved both and whilst working at such a fantastic company surrounded by the most talented people – it’s a celebration for us all, not just me.”
