MIDDLEWICH Library has announced that it will be taking part in Cheshire East Reflects, commemorating the end of the First World War.
On Friday, November 9 at 2.30pm, ‘The Fragrant Blossom of Middlewich Volume Two 1917-1921’ by Philip Andrews will be launched.
The event is free to attend and refreshments will be provided.
The book completes the story of the 150 war deaths Middlewich suffered during and in the aftermath of the conflict.
The Middlewich War Memorial originally listed 136 names of fallen soldiers but recent research revealed another 14 people who should have their names added to the list.
Thanks to the work of Philip Andrews and Geoff Page these names will be officially unveiled on Saturday, October 20.
