A COMMUNITY champion at a Middlewich supermarket is appealing for toy donations for underprivileged children this Christmas.

Danielle Prince has set up the box in Morrisons, Newton Bank, for residents to gift new toys bought in-store to Cheshire Without Abuse.

The donation station will be accepting contributions throughout December.

Danielle said: “This is a charity very close to my heart and I’m hoping the people of Middlewich jump on board and help.

“There seems to have been a real interest in it since we set up the station and it is something that we know is popular across the country in other Morrisons stores.

“We would appreciate new toys as it is for children to open up on Christmas day.

“The people of Middlewich are generous and I think it is something that they could really appreciate as a positive charity to contribute towards.”

Cheshire Without Abuse aims to create a healthy community where adults and children can live free of the fear of domestic abuse.
