I have spent three years in opposition being told at every opportunity that this council does not have money for the services our residents require and need.

Therefore it is quite unbelievable that at the last full council meeting, five of the Labour CWAC councillors for Winsford – namely Cllrs Booher, Clark, Armstrong, Blackmore and Beckett – voted to give the other CWAC Labour councillor for Winsford an additional £7,500 allowance.

I was the only Winsford CWAC councillor who voted against on behalf of the hard working residents of Winsford.

That money could have been spent on important things in Winsford, such as bins in town park or to fill a few more potholes but local Labour think that paying an ‘exception’ allowance nine months before an election would be a far wiser way to spend tax payer money.
