EVERY educated person knows the Euro is a doomed project.

From 2009-2016 it was Greece. This year it will be Italy that threatens the single currency. And of course, this will cause a crisis far greater than us leaving the EU.

We should hope that it happens after March 29, 2019, as Barnier, Juncker and Tusk will try to ensure that the UK pays further billions to help prop up a currency to which they don’t belong.

It’s interesting that most Italians don’t support the EU, but of course love the money that keeps pouring in from more fiscally prudent northern members.

These crises will keep on happening while the currency is tailored to the German economic powerhouse, rather than their struggling southern neighbours.

The strange thing is that these same educated people actually want to keep subsidising southern members, through our membership of the EU.

With Barnier having extracted £37 billion for the EU from the UK after we leave, just for continuing talks on trade, but not promising anything, it’s no wonder that despite a booming economy in the UK, we are still experiencing austerity; the EU is taking all our money for its southern members, lavish offices in Brussels and thousands of workers.

It really is time to leave, if necessary without any deal.

Doomsday scenario projections if we leave with no deal remind me of Osborne’s claim during the referendum that we were heading for a deep recession and huge interest rate hikes in July 2016.

Er...welcome to boom time Britain, George.
