FURTHER to the letter in last week’s Guardian about potholes, I fully agree that the repairs currently being carried out are not fit for purpose.
The work of that world famous cowboy outfit Bodgit, Legit and Scarper comes to mind.
Also, has anyone else noticed that most of the potholes are the result of improper surface reinstatement by utility companies following their seemingly incessant digging up of the highway?
This being the case why does the local authority have to foot the repair bill?
Utility companies should be made to do their work properly, including revisiting to repair any settlement which has occurred.
