I WONDER how many people in Northwich are sick of councillors such as Sammy Naylor, who constantly puts a downer on Northwich.

He is guilty of being against the Memorial Court, then the development of Barons Quay and the cinema.

Something that has been desperately needed by the populace of Northwich, yet every week he is standing against this development or that development.

He is against grammar schools yet he went to Sir John Deane’s grammar school.

Who is he representing, the people who voted him into power, or himself ?

When he had his chance to shine, he failed miserably in not pushing the planners to include the provision of a new Winnington to Barnton link bridge.

I would suggest that if he deplores the town so much, let someone more pro-Northwich stand in his place.

Cllr Naylor does not speak for me and I would say 99 per cent of the local populace.

Personally I feel the town is well on the up, with Barons Quay and the cinema especially being a welldeserved asset to the town.

If I have one criticism, then that is the link way from High Street needs to be opened up as soon as possible.

Even in the interim it’s a solid pathway and printed hoardings either side masking off the walls to the old building each side.

The cinema deserves this part to be accessible for people coming from High Street.
