CAN the Highways department explain why there are 20mph speed limits on London Road in Leftwich and Davenham when there are already speed humps in both places?

You cannot do more than 20mph with the excessive speed humps anyway.

It must have cost a large amount of expenditure to add the signs which will add extra cost to the council's budget when all the vehicular claims are made for replacing broken springs. Also, with the parking of cars on either side in the village of Davenham and buses and tankers, etc, trying to get through, there is no way you can do any more than 20mph at any time.

London Road, Davenham, has just been resurfaced which has made the humps even worse to go over and now they are digging up the grid area to redo it again – typical!

You would think there was some way in covering the grids when resurfacing the road so it didn't have to be dug up again in two months' time.
