I TOO went to the Ansa consultation in Middlewich concerning the proposed Waste Recycling Plant, Guardian, March 18.

Having asked the question "is Croxton Lane tip to remain ?".

I realised that this new plant is to be a tip for the bin waste but this had never been made clear before.

It seems that all collected bin waste from Cheshire East will arrive by lorry in Middlewich, get sorted, and then be moved out.

Will the bypass be operational before the new plant opens? Ansa's answer was on the lines of "the bypass is a separate issue, and nothing to do with us".

Ansa is owned by Cheshire East Council so you would think that all concerned would use joined up thinking.

Will the people of Middlewich, led by the town council, make a stand and refuse to consider any further development in the town until the bypass is a reality, otherwise it will be gridlock?
