AFTER reading an article in the Middlewich Guardian I am totally aghast how Middlewich Town Council have raised the white flag with such ease.
I am of the opinion that residents elect councillors to fight for issues involving the town they represent as raised by the residents.
It read: “MiddlewichTown Council has given its backing to the plans to build a gipsy site in the town and turn a listed building into a wash facility on the site.
Sonya Edwards, head of the Middlewich Town Council planning committee, said: “The planning committee approved it because you have to have a good reason to refuse it and Cheshire East would have just gone above us anyway.”
As you state in your press release you wholly support the proposed development which shows a complete lack of loyalty to the towns residents.
