TERRY Murphy says the next seven days will decide if Town defend their title.

His Middlewich team saw off Curzon Ashton Reserves last night, Tuesday, and are due to welcome title rivals Greenalls Padgate St Oswalds to Seddon Street tommorow night, Thursday.

A trip to Crosfields follows on Saturday.

"I think we will know by Sunday whether we still have a chance," he said.

"They are all potential rivals for the title and I think if we can pick up three wins then we will be on course for top spot."

The Witches came from behind to beat Woodley at the weekend, sub Mike Brandon scoring a wonder goal to seal a 2-1 victory. Stuart Tulloch grabbed the other goal.

Murphy faces a potential selection headache after Saturday though as defensive lynchpin Dave Shore heads to Thailand to begin a teaching placement.

Former Barnton stopper Shaun Came is likely to be his replacement, although ex-skipper Graham Kay could also be available after Woodley Sports complete all their remaining midweek matches tonight, Wednesday.
