CRICKETERS have been having a spring clean at Haddon Field.
A team of volunteers repaired the sight screens, fixed fences and helped plant a new hedge to ready Middlewich CC for the coming campaign.
It was part of Natwest's Cricket Force weekend.
The initiative, backed by the English Cricket Board, encourages supporters, their friends and families to give something back to their local club by volunteering to carry out renovations to clubhouses and grounds.
"Two people in particular were very helfpul," said club chairman Richard Goulding.
"Steve Morris, of Booseys Garden Centre, generously donated 20 hawthorn plants for the new hedge and Bryan Cole of Cheshire Tree Services gave invaluable assistance in in removing two large tree stumps to make planting the new hedge possible."
He also thanked Middlewich DIY for their help on the day.
"It was a successful day," added Goulding.
"We got a lot done."
