Cheshire Stars A had reason to smile after starting a new season in the Everybody Netball League with a victory against Fusion last week
TEAMS representing Cheshire Stars in the newly-named Everybody Netball League recorded victories during the opening round of matches last week.
In the Championship Division, Stars A won a frantic encounter with Fusion at Middlewich Leisure Centre.
Megan Huxley was their best performer during a narrow 32-24 success that featured strong defence all over the court.
Stars R conquered Pythons in Division One, with Di Gentle receiving a nomination for player of the match on a night when Marianne Needham impressed on debut for the team.
The Middlewich-based club have two other sides, Stars S and Stars T, getting ready for the start of a new season in the league’s top-flight.
