MIDDLEWICH made progress in the T20 Plate as a reward for a 24-run success against neighbours Holmes Chapel on Thursday.
Matt Ryan (62no) was the star of their innings at Haddon Field, where they scored 130-7 after being put in.
He was supported by Kieran Boyle (28) after the visitors had made early inroads into the top-order thanks to David Steer (2-27).
Chapel were squeezed during a reply that fell short at 106-6, while Mark Rebbeck (21no) was the pick of their batsmen.
Stephen Parry (2-8) was economical with the ball for Middlewich, while there were wickets too for Phil Parry (1-21), Boyle (1-16), Ryan (1-11) and James Prime (1-20).
They will host lower-ranked Over Peover in the last 16.
