CHESHIRE Stars T could not keep pace last week with Shanti, opponents in their latest South Cheshire Premier League encounter.
The Middlewich team did cancel a four-goal deficit to level at one point during the Premier Division clash, helped by slick movement and great feeds from player of the match Lucy Smith.
However they succumbed 41-28 following a late surge.
Stars S slipped from the Championship Division summit following a 36-19 defeat against Falcons.
Goal-defence Julia Hopley was their stand-out performer, but erratic passing prevented them from putting pressure on their rivals for top spot.
Meanwhile promoted Stars A are continuing to adjust to playing at the same level, and battled until the close of a 36-28 reverse against Ringwood.
