THE FA Cup is back.

Witton Albion host South Shields in one of the most attractive ties of the first qualifying round.

Carl Macauley’s men have a daunting challenge against the FA Vase champions, who have not lost a competitive fixture since November last year.

Meanwhile 1874 Northwich head to Mossley buoyed by impressive wins against North West Counties League rivals Northwich Victoria and West Didsbury at the previous stages.

There isn’t just knockout action scheduled for Saturday, when Winsford United host neighbours Barnton in a derby encounter at St Luke’s Barton Stadium.

The Crewe and District League campaign kicks off too, with Winsford Saxons seeking to take top spot for a third successive season.
