SIMON White added another prestigious title to his collection after helping a Cheshire team to win the English Short Mat Bowling Association’s Triples National Championships.
The Middlewich bowler, an England international, joined forces with Grant Soller and Adam Smith to prevail at the end of a gruelling day of competition.
They saw off Devon 14-2 in a one-sided final, putting behind them the disappointment of finishing as runners-up 12 months earlier.
It marks the second time White has won a Triples crown following a first success in 2013.
He was also part of a Cheshire quartet that took the National Fours prize last year.
Cheshire topped their group following wins against Devon (13-2), Dorset (11-2) and Gloucestershire (7-5) before eliminating North Yorkshire (20-3), Essex (10-3), Norfolk (11-4) and another Dorset trio (16-3) in convincing fashion during the knockout stages.
Their reward is a spot at next season’s British Isles Championships.
