AN amateur golfer from Middlewich narrowly missed out on an expenses-paid trip to north Africa during the southern regional final of the 2015 Morocco Matchplay.
Airline pilot Colin Price, a five-handicapper who plays at De Vere Wychwood Park, and partner Michael Ankers failed to secure one of three qualifying places up for grabs at Manor House Golf Club in Castle Combe.
The 51-year-old was pipped by John Hennessy and Peter Smart, from Pyrford, Bristol Golf Club duo Chris Chinnick and Paul Bacon and Cardiff tandem Paul Lavelle and Daniel Evans.
