Charities in the Mid Cheshire area could benefit from a £3,000 cash boost.
Guardian Series Newspapers has teamed up with Barclays to give charities or non-profit-making groups the chance to win prizes of up to £3,000.
As well as £2,000 for the overall winner, there will be two runners up prizes of £500 each.
Rachel Herbinson, Barclays Community Relations Manager for the North West, said: “At Barclays we strengthen the local communities in which we live and work by supporting a broad range of causes at a very local level, that’s why we are delighted to partner with the Middlewich Guardian to launch the Banking on Brighter Futures Community Awards.”
“Our investment in the awards is part of our global community investment programme, which in 2007 committed £52.4 million to local communities, making Barclays Community Programme one of the largest in the UK. Community Investment provides us with a three way win – it’s good for communities, it’s good for our colleagues who feel proud to be involved and it’s also good for our business.”
"We hope that our involvement in the Banking on Brighter Futures Community Awards shows our commitment to making a real and lasting difference to our local communities.”
