Everyone was pleased to hear that Crowton had won a Community Pride Award for the tidiness of the village and the Little Gem Award.

After the normal business the AGM got underway. The Treasurer gave an overview of the Financial Statement which was followed by the Secretary’s Annual Report. In the President’s address, Kathy thanked all the Committee and members for all their hard work and support throughout the year. The Committee will remain the same apart from one person who is standing down after many years of valued service and Kathy will continue as President. The AGM was then followed with a faith supper and social time. This year Crowton WI celebrates 65 years and all past and present members who had been President were photographed cutting the beautiful cake. Everyone enjoyed the evening chatting, eating and reminiscing.

The next meeting is December 1, the speaker is Ged Ryan talking about bats. Visitors and potential new members are always welcome.
