Middlewich woman hopes she inspired her pupils after appearing on Sky's Got To Dance

A MOTHER-OF-TWO says she hopes she inspired her students after dancing in front of millions on Sky TV’s Got To Dance.
Juliet Harrison, known as Joolz, appeared on the hit reality show on Sunday, January 1, presented by Davina McCall.
The performance in Glasgow put her in the running for a prize £250,000.
The 29-year-old, of Pennymore Drive, Middlewich, runs the Elite Dancers school in Northwich and Winsford.
But her dreams of stardom were cut short when her freestyle dance routine was given just one gold star out of three - meaning she failed to get to the next round.
Judge Adam Garcia said Joolz was ‘deserving of a gold’ but judge Ashley Banjo told her that the ‘last 15 seconds were weak’.
“That’s the way it goes sometimes,” said Joolz, who was inspired by Kylie and Madonna records and gained her first awards when she was nine.
“When you rehearse in a comfortable environment it’s easier to retain your confidence.
“But performing in front of a panel of judges is quite daunting. I’ve never felt so nervous in my life.”
Joolz, who had a scholarship to train at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts in London and attended Pineapple Studios, was chosen out of thousands of people at the initial audition in Manchester.
She added: “I’m 29, not 18. I didn’t expect to win the show. I wanted to inspire the children. I’ve got that first-hand experience to pass on.
“I wanted to prove to the youngsters and even the mums that you can get up and do something like this - there’s nothing stopping you.”
Joolz, who has two children Lily, three, and Rhys, six, has run Elite Dancers for 10 years.
Before that she was in a group called Brazen Angels when she was 18 and then in a duo called ‘Trudy and Juliet’.
