YOUNGSTERS will get a helping hand with their homework if they pop into Middlewich library.

Students researching an essay or project or are looking for books or resources to aid their studies will benefit during Help With Homework Week from October 17 to 21.

After school between 3pm and 4.30pm on these days, staff in Lewin Street will be on hand to help pupils and specialist librarians will be available to answer questions via the online ‘Ask a Librarian’ service.

Clr David Brown, cabinet member for performance and capacity, said: “Our libraries are a fantastic resource and this is an excellent opportunity for youngsters to learn how to get the most out of their local library – and get help with their homework into the bargain.

“We at Cheshire East Council understand that libraries play a vital role in improving life opportunities for our residents.”

A council spokeman added: “All libraries are happy to offer class visits throughout the year to introduce pupils to the library service and all it can offer.”
