A MIDDLEWICH IT support and services company has won the ‘highly commended’ certificate in the High Sheriff’s Award for Enterprise.
Amita, in Pochin Way, has added to the array of awards it has recently won, including the South Cheshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Best Small Company award in 2009.
Darren Astles, director, said: “Everyone at Amita is thrilled to receive this award.
“The past couple of years have been testing for us all but it is good to see so many enthusiastic businesses run by people with real passion making a palpable difference.”
The company has been growing for more than seven years and currently employs nine people.
Erika Wenzel, chief executive of Cheshire East council, said: “Local businesses have an important role to play in our community, providing much-needed jobs and economic prosperity.”
