Thank goodness CEC have seen sense.
There is no way Middlewich should have to suffer a landfill site an an incinerator, especially with so much doubt and concern over safety.
Now if the people of Middlewich (and Cheshire in general) can club together and become pioneers of waste reduction they can negate the need for the landfill. It's the only way such projects can be stopped long term.

Malcolm Chilton was the chairman of the Energy from Waste Association, an industry association set up to lobby government on issues affecting the EfW industry.

Having watched the Channel 4 program watching MP's like Stephen Byers, Geoff Hoon, Margaret Moran ect offer their services to private companies.

I wonder who Covanta will be lobbying to get this desicion overturned?
