A NEW development in Byley is the first in Cheshire to use new materials by British Gypsum.

Thomas England Ltd has specified the latest building materials by British Gypsum for the development, Drakelow Gorse Farm, in the village.

Drakelow Gorse Farm is a collection of seven restored and new-build properties which all sold swiftly off-plan.

Each home is unique and built to a high specification, with on-site tennis courts and stables.

Patrick Seed, managing director at Thomas England Ltd, said: “We gave a lot of thought to how our homebuyers would live in their new properties and what they would want from these elegant homes, beyond the usual upscale kitchen and appliances.

“When we came across Gyproc Habito, it was obvious Super Strength plasterboard and Magnetic Walls would sit perfectly alongside our more typical top of the range features such as underfloor heating, log burners, superfast fibre optic broadband and Cat 6 data cabling.”

“We always have one eye on the latest technologies and do everything we can to future-proof our buildings.”

Sarah White, residential sector manager at British Gypsum, said: “Our innovative products like Gyproc Habito and ThistlePro Magnetic plaster are perfect for luxury developments.

“And as the building industry as a whole increasingly focuses on creating homes which meet homeowner needs, developments like Drakelow Gorse Farm send a strong message that this is the future of housebuilding.”
