A PLANNING application has been submitted to Cheshire East Council regarding the construction of a new detached house.

The plans propose building the house on land currently used as a private garden at the back of 44 Chester Road in Middlewich.

The design and access statement states: “The proposal makes effective use of the application site for the provision of a dwelling of a design quality which will enhance the character and appearance of the locality and is appropriate in terms of the scale and relationship of the new dwelling with those near to it.

“he proposal utilises the existing driveway to Maywood House to serve the new development as this will avoid any detriment to the street scene which would be caused by remodelling the entrance.

“The existing access has been used safely for many years and the additional traffic likely to be generated by one extra house is not considered of such magnitude as to justify a requirement for a remodelled access.

“The development will not have any adverse impact in relation to the character and appearance of the surrounding area, highway safety and access, ecology, landscape or any other matters of acknowledged importance.”

The proposals were originally submitted in 2015 and planning permission was granted, however, in March this year the permission time expired and now the applicant is hoping for a renewal.
