A COMMUNITY leader at St Michael's Church has praised the joint work of local schools and Church volunteers in creating a hugely successful walk through the Bible experience, enjoyed by over 3000 people.

Following the success of similar events in 2012 and 2015, St Michaels Church invited six local primary schools to contribute to a mega multi-sensory experience for the town to enjoy.

Weaving together a maze of tunnels, caves and open spaces depicting some of the main Bible stories and themes and filling the entire church building.

The Labyrinth was the vision of Jeremy Coles, St Michael’s Director of Music & Family Work.

Jeremy said: “It was a tremendous effort by the church and school community and such a privilege to speak to people of God’s love for them in the context of his big story.

“To see over 3000 people enjoy the experience was inspiring and extraordinary.”

The labyrinth formed the central part of St Michael's contribution to the annual Middlewich FAB festival.

The exhibition was put together thanks to the hard work of staff and pupils from Middlewich Primary School, St Mary's RC Primary School, Cledford Primary School, Wimboldsley Primary School and Warmingham Primary School.

Other activities laid on by the Church included a hot food kiosk, tombola, second hand book store, handmade cards, beat the goalie, community cafe at Number 28 and an action packed open air service on the Sunday morning, which included the recently launched junior choir 'Song Stars'

Jeremy added: "Middlewich is a fantastic town and St Michael's Church is proud to play a leading role within the community."

“In addition to our Sunday services we have a range of activities and all in the town are invited to get involved."
