The Canal and River Trust hope the repair designs will be finished within a few weeks.
THE repairs of the Middlewich breach in the Shropshire Union Canal are underway and the Canal and River Trust have thanked the public for their support so far.
Access to the breach area has now been stoned up, the haul road across the field is now complete, the compound area is now ready to mobilise for repair work and the access ramp into the canal bed is finished, meaning that the major repairs can begin.
The Canal and River Trust are hoping to have design plans completed and in place by the end of May or the beginning of June.
